We are a group of Ichthyologists, Ichthy-what?, fish people. It's not strange, it's different. The work and research we do contributes to our knowledge of fish, as well as coming up with ways to save our fish stocks. Whether it be in the small mountainous streams or the deepest oceanic canyons. What we do matters, but why does is matter? A world without fish (p.s. a very interesting book by Mark Kurlansky) is a very sad and deprived one. Not only is t sad, but 2 billion people globally rely on fish for their livelihoods. Therefore, it calls to reason, that we should be trying our damn hardest to protect them. This is a blog dedicated to our thoughts about the world of fish science!
